PLINK, young people and futures: building tomorrow's value today

There is a way of doing business that does not limit itself to observing the present or chasing technological innovation, but that chooses to question the type of futures it is helping to generate.

At PLINK we have become aware that the value of a company is not only measured in the quality of the services it offers, but also in its ability to contribute to the growth of the people and communities with which it interacts. It is from this vision that our commitment to young people was born: a path that focuses on listening, dialogue and shared responsibility, because the future is not something distant and abstract, but a direction that takes shape through today's choices.

We have chosen to start an ongoing dialogue with schools and cultural realities in the area, convinced that accompanying young people means contributing to the construction of more aware, inclusive and sustainable futures.

Listening to young people is a responsibility

The meetings that we have held in recent years with students, in schools, in our headquarters and in different cultural contexts, have given us an authentic and disenchanted look at the expectations and anxieties that accompany those who face tomorrow.

From their words emerge profound questions such as the fear of never being able to find stability, the fear of making wrong choices, the strong desire to build a path that has meaning and the need to recognize oneself in professional contexts capable of truly valuing the people who work there.

As we listened to these reflections, we asked ourselves what role a company can play in guiding young people towards the world of work and providing them with opportunities for open and authentic dialogue. As a result of this responsibility, PLINK's initiatives for creating real connections between new generations, the region, and the professional world take shape.

PLINK projects for young people: relationships, culture and shared futures

The artistic contest "Networks: connections and boundaries between human and digital",, created together with Tikvà, is one of the most significant expressions of this path. Through the language of art we wanted to propose a reflection on the concept of "network", understood not only as a technological infrastructure, but also as a space of relationships, an interweaving of perspectives, a divisive element, a trap and a border.

At the same time, the dialogue started with the IIS Jean Monnet in Mariano Comense continues to offer us valuable opportunities for discussion through classroom meetings and company visits, during which girls and boys can question the meaning of work, the transformations that society is going through and the possibilities they wish to imagine for their future.

Every conversation, every question, every shared reflection fuels a path that we consider essential, since it connects worlds that are otherwise distant and allows us to understand each other better. In addition, other schools are gradually joining in the process, believing that the comparison of institutes, high schools, and companies represents an extraordinary opportunity for growth.

For PLINK, dedicating time and energy to young people means taking on a social responsibility that is linked to a broader idea of collective well-being. We believe that companies today must create contexts in which the new generation can develop skills, cultivate aspirations and recognize perspectives capable of giving meaning to their personal and professional path.

We will continue to do so with a sense of responsibility, undertaking new projects and creating new opportunities for dialogue, so that futures can be thought through and built together.
